We are already fully immersed in summer, a fatal summer like the one Christina Rosenvinge and Nacho Vegas sang about. Many are currently enjoying chill out terraces, lounge clubs and other places to relax while waiting for the sunset, and between the work we do and the ones we get to know we can talk about some guidelines that are general for chill out decoration in 2012.
Less is more
As Mies Van der Rohe used to say. It is necessary to make good use of the spaces, to use white above all things, to arrange the furniture and to combine square and round shapes just enough. We can see it in the lounge decoration of the pool of the Lumine Beach Club in Port Aventura, made by Impulsa Comunicación for Cobega with our Nantes furniture and the low cylindrical table, as pool furniture.
2. Simplicity and ‘ruralism’.
Many of the best chill out spots in this country are located in Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca. An example is the Oniris Lounge, in the port of Ciutadella, which transports us to a white openwork scenario of any Greek village with its gastronomy. Wood, moss, plants, stone, antique elements and a very light touch of shabby chic style are combined with custom-made cushions and low furniture to oxygenate the starry night.
