Choosing the Fabric for Upholstery
Once we have decided on the shape of our table, it is time to choose the upholstery fabric. Normally, these tables are upholstered in eco-leather or leatherette. Although if the customer requests it, we have other types of fabrics such as Nylon, Silvertez, Canvas or even Natural leather.
The tables upholstered in eco-leather, commonly called leatherette or poly-leather, are high-end, incredibly resistant to wear and tear. This leatherette is exclusively for interiors. It is a fabric that will never tear. It is one of the most resistant leatherette in the market and in Fiaka we have it available in more than 12 colors.
It is also very easy to clean. Just wiping it with a damp cloth will be enough to remove dirt or stains and make it impeccable, as the first day. Of course, their quality complies with the highest European standards in terms of components and environmental protection.
If the upholstered table is going to be outdoors, on a balcony, terrace or garden, it is best in this case to use the nautical leatherette fabric. It is a fabric that, at first glance, maintains the characteristic features of leatherette, but it is especially suitable for outdoors as it is resistant to ultraviolet rays, fireproof and antibacterial.
It is so resistant that it can even be used for pieces that are on the beach or in ski resorts. However, if the customer requests it, we have tables upholstered in fabrics such as Nylon, Canvas and other fabrics such as Silvertex and Natural Leather.
If requested by the customer, we can make upholstered Capitoné tables. Capitoné is a type of upholstery original from England and characteristic of the Chester sofa. It is currently in fashion, and in addition to sofas and armchairs, it can be found in other pieces such as tables.
Color or Print
It comes, possibly the most difficult decision at the moment of choosing the upholstered table.
What color should I choose?
The color range is very extensive, with more than 12 colors to choose from. The choice of one color or another will depend on the decorative style of your space or your personal taste. If we want to play it safe, we can opt for black or white colors that always combine perfectly with all styles.
For a vintage or shabbi chic decorative style, cream, violet, silver or white colors will fit perfectly. For an industrial style, black, brown or gray will go perfectly. If the space follows a Nordic decor, choose white or black. For a children’s room, cheerful colors such as green, orange, blue, pink, yellow or red.
If it is for a terrace or garden and to give it a chill out touch, the best are the blue, turquoise and white tones. If, on the other hand, we want to give it a more “tropical” touch, the best are bright colors such as green or yellow.

Table Legs
Several types of legs are available to customize the table. You can choose chrome legs, round cherry or wenge wood legs or square cherry or wenge wood legs. There is also the “no legs” option for those who prefer the table to be completely flush with the floor.
