We have collaborated with a wonderful cause: ‘La casa dels Xuklis’, in Barcelona, a project of the Fundació Privada de Nenes i Nens amb Càncer, on the initiative of Associació de Familiars i Amics de Nens Oncològics de Catalunya, AFANOC.
AFANOC has been fighting for years for the construction of a shelter for families with children suffering from cancer. The objective is that these families, who have to travel far from home in order to attend the hospitals, can have a pleasant and familiar place to meet other patients and children. This service is provided free of charge in a building with bioclimatic criteria. Given the magnitude of the initiative, the Foundation was created with AFANOC as its founding patron.
In addition, the Foundation that manages and coordinates ‘La casa dels Xuklis’, has the support of the public institutions of Catalonia. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees is made up of professionals linked to different sectors, in order to have a more global and objective vision of the project.
Fiaka Ambient has collaborated with them to carry out this initiative and support an exemplary work. The use of poufs in furniture is a stimulus of relaxation and well-being for all users of ‘La casa dels Xuklis’, as well as low furniture, simple in design and with a fun but simple color palette. In this decoration project we have mainly applied the model of round poufs 60*30, pear poufs, and custom-made cushions for the terrace benches.
