More than a few contemporary artists have exhibited everyday objects in exhibition halls or museums to demonstrate that context influences art, or at least what is considered art. Thus, people presuppose an ‘artistic value’ to what is shown in these spaces. In interior design, although in a very different way, everyday elements out of context, i.e. away from the space in which they are presupposed by their functionality, can provide an avant-garde touch and, of course, original that usually leaves no one indifferent. The bed is a good example. Although for logical reasons it is the central axis of the bedroom, it is increasingly used in the decoration of outdoor spaces as well as living rooms, where it does not lose functionality. The puff beds offer multiple possibilities in the decoration of living rooms, terraces or gardens. We review in this post some of Fiaka Ambient’s designs for outdoors and indoors.
