Jorge Frascara said that “the designer, unlike the artist, is not normally the source of the messages he communicates, but their interpreter”. Similarly, the interior designer must decorate environments in a way that inspires and evokes the personality of its inhabitants, interpreting what they wish to reflect or feel comfortable with. This equation is more complex, if possible, in the case of establishments -the image of a business, of course, has an impact on its sales- or the organization of events.
This challenge has resulted in works as interesting as those recently developed with Fiaka Ambient furniture for very different initiatives such as the decoration of a wedding, a local or the terrace of a house. The common link in all three cases: the need to recreate a chill out atmosphere.

- A chill out wedding
Among the latest events organized by the elegant Malaga agency One2one Marketing is the staging of this outdoor chill out wedding. For this type of ceremony, far from conventionalism, they chose cubic tables, cubic puff 90 x 37 and 40×40 squares, all in white to enhance the lighting of a dreamy sunset.

Because of its association with purity, white is usually the color of choice for weddings (the color of the dress, of course, is reserved strictly for the bride). It is also one of the most used colors of the chill out style, so the couple was served. In this case it has been accompanied by touches of fuchsia (the bows on the chairs) and red (rose petals on the walkway leading to the altar).
Apart from white, to transmit the atmosphere of relaxation and harmony typical of the chill out through the lighting, candles have been used on the tables and round hanging lamps of oriental style paper, also in this color to increase the effect of luminosity.
The vertical floral motifs with semi-transparent hanging ribbons, also evoking an oriental style – very appropriate for chill out environments for the spirituality they convey – are the icing on the cake in the decoration of the beautiful natural environment that serves as the setting for the wedding.

- A chill out party
From a wedding we moved on to a chill out party, also by the hand of One2One Marketing, which celebrated its first awards in May with an unforgettable gala for which its organizer, Jacinto Castillo, chose a beautiful setting: Puro Beach, in Estepona.
During the gala, attendees enjoyed a fashion show organized by the Personal Shoper service of El Corte Inglés, as well as performances by LaRowe and DJ Godoy and Motorkite exhibitions.
For the lighting of the event, torches and small lanterns with candles were used, very typical of the chill out style. An Ibizan environment, with Balinese-style beds, umbrellas and white loungers around a large pool served as an elegant and glamorous setting for this fun party, the result of which can be seen in this video:
- A chill out place
While in events the decoration is focused on a specific milestone (it is designed to accompany the fleetingness of the moment, in quotation marks, because it can leave an indelible memory), in the case of establishments the interior design ‘speaks’, as we mentioned at the beginning, of the brand and must invite people to enter and stay. It is, therefore, a business card, which means that it is focused on the long term, although it is always possible to renew or die.

In the terraces of the locals the chill out style is very cozy and appropriate to invite you to relax away from the rush.
Safara Tenso Carpas, a company dedicated to the creation and innovation of spaces, has turned the terrace of this pool into a comfortable enclave, which has been decorated with furniture from Fiaka Ambient and its innovative tents (more about decoration with awnings and umbrellas).
90×30 and 40×30 soft cylindrical poufs as well as rigid square cubic poufs, all in white, surround a table to create brightness in the environment. The red cushions add a touch of passion to the cozy atmosphere, designed for relaxation.

- A chill out terrace
The last example of a chill out atmosphere is in the private home of one of our clients. The owner needed some custom cushions to give a lounge touch to his terrace.
Like the center table, the seating is made from a pallet structure, but required custom ‘mats’ to be functional. For this purpose, we made these customized white nautical leatherette ones, especially for outdoors and with high density rubber (we thank you for sending us these images to check the result).
The simplicity of the forms provides elegance to this minimalist space, where the awning, a small puff and pallets add a cozy chill out touch.
