The countdown has begun. Halloween is just a few days away, whose origin we recalled in a previous post coinciding with the launch of our pumpkin-shaped puff<\/strong> to give a fun touch to the decoration of this holiday.<\/p>\n

This time we want to give you some suggestions to inspire you when decorating your home or place -in addition to the exterior- for Halloween. Although there are as many ideas as there is imagination, we have noted the ones we liked the most for Halloween decorations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Puff Halloween, pumpkin shaped<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The objective is to create an atmosphere of terror, without forgetting the touch of humor that usually accompanies this event. Lighting will play an essential role in this regard. Candles and candelabras will serve to create that halo of mystery we are looking for.<\/p>\n

If we use transparent candle holders we can draw spider web shapes on their edges or some dark silhouette to reflect and project this image on the walls.<\/p>\n

However, to achieve the traditional atmosphere of terror of this night we can make the characteristic ‘Jack’s Lanterns’<\/strong> by carving his frightened countenance on the pumpkins<\/strong> and placing candles inside them. If we use them in smaller sizes, we can create points of dim light that illuminate different areas of the garden or interior, marking ‘routes’ to certain areas.<\/p>\n

Pumpkins, the quintessential icon of Halloween<\/strong>, are usually used as a ‘leitmotif’ in decoration. If we paint them to decorate them with messages alluding to the party or with silhouettes of witches, bugs, insects, spiders, spider webs, bats, etc., we will give a different touch to the evening.<\/p>\n

Also as a centerpiece or ice bucket, hollow pumpkins bring that point of originality that should not be missing on Halloween.<\/p>\n

With the pumpkins we can alternate orange balloons with Jack’s face to add a festive air, especially if we are thinking of organizing a costume party. If one explodes in the middle of a scary story and when everyone is silent the ‘Boo!’ is more than assured.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, through gauze and gnawed fabrics, as well as tulle with holes hung as cobwebs, the desired gloomy atmosphere is achieved. Cotton can also work to mimic spider webs if we spread it well on plants or centerpieces.<\/p>\n

Silhouettes of animals such as bats, spiders, crows, black cats or insects are ideal for Halloween decorations. To make them easily, we can use black cardboard on which we will draw and cut out their respective profiles to later place them on the walls or hang them as garlands.<\/p>\n

And speaking of silhouettes, who doesn’t remember the one of Norman Bate’<\/strong> s mother in Psycho<\/strong>? Like the character created by Hitchcock<\/strong> in the movie, we can place silhouettes on the windows to recreate scenes of terror.<\/p>\n

Symbols alluding to the afterlife, death or black magic are also very appropriate for Halloween decorations. Small ghosts used as dream catchers, witches’ brooms welcoming at the door, as well as coffins, tombstones, skulls or crosses will cause a sensation at the party, especially if they incorporate an unexpected joke.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
